“Strong in faith.”
Romans 4:20
As a child of the One True God, saved by His grace through faith in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, I am called to stand unwavering. Paul writes of Abraham, “strong in faith” (Romans 4:20), a man who trusted Gods promise against all odds. That same strength is my calling, my lifeline to the Fathers heart.
Faith is no idle hope—it is the muscle of the soul, the hand that grasps Gods gifts. Charles Spurgeon said, “Christian, take good care of thy faith; for recollect faith is the only way whereby thou canst obtain blessings. If we want blessings from God, nothing can fetch them down but faith.” Prayer may lift my voice, love may guide my steps, but faith alone unlocks the storehouse of heaven. It is trusting Jesus, the Son who pleased the Father, that brings me near, with the Spirit stirring me to believe.
I see it in my days—when I falter, blessings dim; when I stand strong, they flow. Faith is not blind; it is fixed on the One who never fails. The world shouts doubt, the thief sows fear, but faith holds fast, pulling down peace, strength, joy. Through faith, I am not just saved, but sustained, joined to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in unshakable trust.
Watchman Nee said, “Faith is not a leap in the dark, but a step into Gods light.” C.S. Lewis wrote, “Faith is the art of holding on to things your reason has once accepted, in spite of your changing moods.” John Bunyan added, “He who is strong in faith walks with God as a friend; no promise is too great for him to claim.”
So I guard my faith, feed it with His Word, water it with prayer. It is my bridge to blessing, my anchor in storms.
Dear friend, be strong in faith today. Trust Jesus fully. Watch Gods goodness pour down.
Let us pray:
Father, make us strong in faith. Steady us by Your Spirit to trust Your Son. Open Your storehouse of blessings as we stand firm. In Jesus name, Amen.
