The abundant life that Jesus came to give us is a life of grace, healing, and wholeness.

It is a life where we can experience the love, favor, and blessings of God every moment of our lives.
Let’s explore the concepts of grace, dominion, and faith as they relate to our walk with God and our experience of the abundant life.
Grace and Dominion
John 10:10 says,
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Jesus came to give us life in all its fullness, and He promised that we can have it more abundantly. But how do we access this abundant life?
The answer lies in the concept of grace. Grace is God’s undeserved favor and blessing towards us.
It is the unmerited love and acceptance that He extends to us, even when we are not worthy. As we walk in grace, we can experience the dominion that God has given us over our lives.
Psalm 8:6 says,
“Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet.”
As children of God, we have been given dominion over our lives, and we can exercise that dominion by walking in the grace of God.
The Vital Choice
The choice to walk in grace and dominion is a vital one. It is a choice to make God the central focus of our lives, rather than a sideline choice. Joshua 24:15 says,
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
When we choose to serve the Lord, we are choosing to walk in His grace and to exercise our dominion over our lives.
The Word of God
The Word of God is the principal reality and guidance for our lives. It is the lamp that lights our path and the light that guides our steps. Psalm 119:105 says,
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.” Romans 10:17 says,
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
As we study and apply the Word of God to our lives, we can experience the grace and dominion of God in a deeper way.
Believing Right
To experience the abundant life, we must believe right. We must believe that we are good enough for God because of His grace. Romans 5:12-17 says,
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (for until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift.
For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”
We have been declared good enough for God, not because of our own goodness, but because of His grace.
The Secret Weapon
The secret weapon of the Christian is a mindset created by prolonged exposure to the grace of God through His Word. When we immerse ourselves in the Word of God, we develop a mindset that is focused on grace, dominion, and faith. This mindset enables us to walk in the abundant life that Jesus came to give us.
The abundant life is a life of grace, healing, and wholeness. It is a life that is available to us as we walk in the grace and dominion of God. By believing right, studying the Word of God, and developing a mindset focused on grace, we can experience the abundant life that Jesus came to give us. So let us choose to walk in grace and dominion, and let us experience the abundant life that is ours in Jesus Christ.
